Breaking the Hush Factor on the radio and in the library!

I couldn’t be more thrilled that Breaking the Hush Factor is getting onto the radio and into libraries!

Here’s the radio interview I had with Katie Vitale from Issues for Your Tissues last week:

Getting a book onto the shelves of a library involves the love, dedication, and thoughtful attention of a special breed of librarians called catalogers. One of my oldest friends (and, incidentally, a copy editor of the book) is a cataloger and she humored me by documenting the process of getting Breaking the Hush Factor onto the shelves at the library in Oklahoma City. I don’t know all of the details of the process that are outlined here, but it’s pretty interesting nonetheless:

1. My intrepid cataloger, editor, and dear friend, Alice Fielding!
2. The original catalogue submission form
3. The OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) record
4. Breaking the Hush Factor preparing to be barcoded
5. Barcodes are printed
6. Breaking the Hush Factor is ON THE SHELF!
