After receiving her Masters of Nursing at Columbia University, Alexandra now works as a nurse on a Progressive Care Unit at a trauma hospital in Texas. Before becoming a registered nurse she led breastfeeding and prenatal education at UC San Francisco, provided chat based health info for a women’s health iOS app, and worked as a Clinical Health Educator at La Clinica de la Raza’s teen clinic in Oakland. She has been trained as a sex educator through San Francisco Sex Information, a facilitator of the Our Whole Lives curriculum and as a Family Planning Health Worker through Essential Access Health among others. Her first foray into health education was as a Peer Health Educator at San Diego State University where she majored in Women’s Studies and Spanish. Her ultimate goal is to provide reproductive and primary health care as a Family Nurse Practitioner in her native San Francisco Bay Area.
In her freetime she enjoys hiking, international travel, and singing along to Broadway soundtracks.
